AZChess4Charity provides children with:

     Self-confidence

     Problem-solving skills

     Patience

     Better focus

     Creativity

     Sportsmanship

These are tremendous life skills.  Our chess club allows less fortunate kids to obtain these skills at no charge. Parents don't have to choose between food and paying for after-school club lessons.

 Mission

AZChess4Charity is an organization that will provide children and their families with an opportunity to learn chess.  Through free chess instruction, we hope to provide a fun activity for children that will help complement their academic development and build life skills such as promoting self-confidence, focus, patience, problem-solving, creativity, dedication, and sportsmanship.

It is a wonderful feeling watching a child’s face light up as he or she says checkmate for the first time.  I vividly remember being in first grade and saying checkmate to my dad; it felt so good!  My name is Bennett Katz.  I am a Senior at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, AZ and the President of AZChess4Charity, LLC.  I founded AZChess4Charity, LLC when I was twelve with the vision of providing less fortunate children with free weekly chess lessons.  We are in our fifth year of providing free weekly chess lessons to children whose families are going through difficult times.
AZChess4Charity, LLC is a 501(c) (3) organization so your generous donation is tax-deductible.  100% of your donation goes directly towards running our organization.  Our goal for 2018 is to open 1-2 new locations and reach over 200 children each year with the opportunity to learn chess.  Please click the link below to help at-risk children think like “kings and queens”.
